Collector Reference Guide

The Ultimate Pokémon Error Card Encyclopedia

How to Use This Guide

The best way to use this page is to search your card by set, card name, and error name. Many Pokémon errors are tiny, so inspect the card under bright light and compare the exact location listed in each entry.

  • Corrected errors were changed during production. These are often the most collectible.
  • Recurring errors appear in the same place on multiple copies and are easier for graders to recognize.
  • One-off production errors include miscuts, crimps, obstruction errors, missing ink, and inverted backs.
  • Damage is not an error. Water damage, sun fading, peeling, trimming, and intentional ink removal do not count.
